Midcentury branding for a timeless firm
From refreshing a logo to building out brand standards this branding met at the middle of midcentury playfulness with swiss aesthetics to show off their architecture and interior design skills.

The Problem
It had 15 years since Kamus+Keller (K+K) had touched their branding, but moreso they still liked their logo but felt it was dated. As with some clients there was the dance of pushing them into the next step while honoring the fears and concerns of evolving a brand.
Opportunities
Their love of color and mid-century aesthetics and clean design was a designer playground. It allowed me to pay with the colors they had by making a more cohesive set. Updating and upgrading was the name of the game, something that felt fresh and timeless but still comfortable for the stakeholders over at K+K.
After the logo creation, I worked on the 30-page brand book. I created the typographic system — from font finding to stylization, photos, layouts, and most of what is seen in this section. The color palette was defined in collaboration with the Creative Director. Afterward, I created color harmonies that pass AAA standards. Any additional assets made by the team I cleaned up to ensure brand cohesion.
Collateral
As an architecutre and interior design firm, there was one thing K+K agreed with many designers and agencies: It’s good to spend money on the small things. With custom full bleed envelopes and pantone, UV coated, double thick business cards I was able to really present ideas other clients say no to.
RFP to Web
Our primary contact at K+K also wanted a template for RFPs that could be malleable. Using the structure from the brand book and letterhead I came up with an additional system that was then translated into their website. I also helped redline an online proposal generator developed at MALI & Friends to ensure that as well as the site, the RFP template was translated 1:1 on the proposal generator.
